My Life with a Wave
By Gabrielle
One day I went to the beach in Long Beach Island. I was on my boogie board when a wave talked to me . . . it said, "Take me home, take me home." So I did what he said but I didn't have anything to use! I went to the shed at my house and got a wheelbarrow. But when I got to the beach the wave was amazingly huge. I got right in front of him and he jumped right in the wheelbarrow. When I left, the beach turned pale! I thought it was my imagination. When I was finally home the wave wasn't happy. I got in my room the wave talked to me he said, "I am so mad, I am so mad." I asked him why, and he got bigger and bigger. I ran out of the room and shut the door, but the water pressure was too hard, I couldn't hold the door closed. Then I heard a door creaking open. I went in my room, the wave was breaking everything so I asked him what was the matter. He replied, "I really miss the beach. Bring me back, please." I was stunned but I brought him back to the beach, and he remembered me forever. My feelings were hurt because I had to let him go. I knew his home was the beach.
