Hudson-Mohawk Lowland
By Lachenay and D'onna

The Hudson Mohawk Lowland is shaped like a crooked y. You can find the Appalachian Mountains in this region. The Hudson Mohawk Lowland covers most of the Hudson River valley.

The Hudson River is part of this region. The Hudson River begins in the Adirondack region and flows south to New York Bay. There is another body of water called the Mohawk River. It flows and contributes into the Hudson River. This region also has very good soil for farming. There are dairy farms, and potatoes and apples are grown here.

The attractions are Albany, Utica and other port cities. There are lots of things to do there like visit museums, go shopping, and visit the capital. You can also fish, swim, and go boating in the rivers. You can hunt in the woods, go biking, and even go to the zoo. There are lots of stuff you could do in the Hudson Mohawk Lowland. Hey, guess what kids, when you get in fourth grade you might make clay maps of the regions of New York! We think that would be awesome.
