Atlantic Coastal Plain
by Jasmine & Camile

The Atlantic Coastal Plain is one of the regions that you will be learning about. This region is near the New England Upland. It is a low, almost flat plain near the Atlantic Ocean. This region includes Staten Island and Long Island.

There are many large farms here that grow vegetables. This region produces fishing, potatoes, fruits, flowers and poultry. There are also factories here that produce airplanes and other machines. They also have vineyards.

One of the best things about this region is its popular attractions. Long Island's sandy beaches are a popular vacation spot for many New Yorkers. Sailing is also very popular here. You can even see a New York Islander hockey game if you visit during the winter.
