Turkey Stories
We took a field trip to Stone Barns to sketch turkeys. We looked at what colors the turkeys were and talked about the shape of their necks and beaks, how many legs they had, their feathers, and so on. Then we made beautiful turkey collages using cut paper, feathers, pom poms, sparkles, popsicle sticks, and more. Next we wrote stories about the turkeys, trying to build suspense for the reader. After typing the stories in Computer Lab, we hung everything up outside our classroom. We hope you like our stories as much as we do!
