The Rockhopper Penguin
By Ashley
If you think the Rockhopper's hair is crazy, listen more. Rockhopper penguins have long yellow feathers on the sides of their heads. These penguins jump from rock to rock with their feet together. They make a simple nest in which they lay two eggs. The strange part is that the first egg laid is always much smaller than the second. This northernmost penguin lives in the Galapagos Islands of South America, near the equator. Oh "yes" it's height is 22 inches and it weighs 5 to 10 lbs. The Rockhopper is a real cool penguin.
