Squanto
We have been learning about Squanto. His village was called Patuxet. He was a slave in England. When he got back home his tribe was all dead. They died of smallpox. He helped the Pilgrims. He taught them how to plant corn and where to fish. They were so thankful they had a Thanksgiving feast. He died in 1622.
