She was born December 25, 1821 in Massachusetts, and died in 1912. She was a Battlefield Nurse, and took very good care of people when they got hurt. She was a brave woman. She was a teacher for 18 years. She was good at reading maps. She loved to hear her father tell stories.

Davy was born in Tennessee in 1786. Davy died in 1836. Davy lived in Tennessee. When Davy was only 6 years old, his uncle, Joseph Hawkins, taught him how to hunt. I think Davy Crocket was very lucky that he was a Pioneer. Davy was famous becouse went to help Texas gain its independence from Mexico.

Martin Luther King, Jr. was shot and killed on April 4, 1968 in Memphis and his funeral was in Atlanta, Georgia where he was born. Martin was a very good student, he knew every answer. When he was an adult he gave the most important speech of his life to the world. He was a very kind person when he was young. When Martin was an adult he gave a speech to the world that whites and blacks can be together. Martin was famous because he said that blacks and whites can do everything together, and no one could say whites only. I think Martin Luther King Jr. was very kind to everybody in the whole world.

I read a book about Helen Keller. Helen was blind, deaf and could not talk. Helen was a woman of courage because she learned how to talk using sign Language and read Braille. She also helped other people who were blind. She taught a man who was injured at war and became blind, how to read. I think Helen Keller was a great woman!!!
