Patroon Palace
The
new addition has been made to the English Colonies! New York is open to settlers
now. New York is the first middle colony founded by Dutch leader, Peter Minuit.
England wanted to claim New York for themselves, so, they took control and
changed New Netherlands into New York. Some people are patroons. Patroons are
owners of huge grants of land given by officials. One grant was the size of the
Rhode Island colony! So far, the colony is going smoothly and remember, the
gates are open now!!!! You can go to New York because you want religious
toleration, or just to expand your trade...People agree, New York is Number
1...and so do I!!!!!

New
York is named a Breadbasket Colony, for it remarkable growth of wheat. This
colony grows many crops. Some of these crops are barley, wheat, rye, and its
main crop, corn. Some farmers are raising pigs and cattle, then they export
these goods to the New England Colonies (MA., R.I., CT., and NH). Enjoy!
