Characteristics: The Chinese Crested Dogs are known to be sweet, loving, smart, and alert. There are two varieties of this breed, the hairless and the powder puff. They crave companionship. This breed is a great apartment dog and good with children.
Height and Weight: The height of the Chinese Crested Dog is around 12 inches or 1 foot, and its weight is no more then 10 pounds.
Original Function: The original functions for the Chinese Crested Dog were ratter, curio (or rare trading good), bedwarmer, and believe it or not, food. China has along growing season this means more crops grown and crops stored. More crops stored mean more rats want to eat them. This means the farmer needs a good ratter, like the Chinese Crested Dog so that why it was bred in China.
