A Strange Day In July

I threw with all my might, but the third stone came skipping back. In July my brother and I went to a river in Manhattan. I threw the rock one more time, but this time the rock popped up and my little brother Zack shouted "WOW!' I didn't know what was going on. I got my friends Sean, Mailgue, and Samantha. They are good friends to me and T think they can help me. We got our swimming clothes on to go into the water to see if there are any kinds of creatures. We started to solve the mystery. We swam in the river to look for creatures, and we checked the sparkly rock to see if there were any clues. We saw a water horse and lots of fish. I saw the dolphins with the rock and they were playing with it. The dolphins had been playing with it all along. Mission  complete! They invited us to play! It was the most unbelievable adventure ever. We swam alongside fish, starfish, and dolphins. Dolphins are my favorite. The dolphins played games with us and sprayed water in our faces from their mouths. It was awesome.

My mom and dad found out that we were by the ocean. They came down to get my friends and I, because they thought it might be dangerous. I tried to tell them that the sea animals were friendly but they weren't buying it. They called us to the shore and wrapped us up in towels. It was the best day of our lives. I hope I can get back and swim with the sea animals again.
