Jesse Owens

Jesse Owens was born on September 12, 1913 in a house that was only a bunch of logs thrown together. When Jesse was about nine, he and his family moved to Cleveland, Ohio. When Jesse was in college he broke lots of records running track. In the 1936 Olympics held in Germany, Jesse won 4 gold medals. Jesse broke records and retired from running track. He then spoke out for black people. Jesse Owens died on March 31, 1950.
