A Portrait of
Davy Crockett
By Danny Co.

Davy Crockett was born in Tennessee in 1786 in a log cabin. His uncle always took him out to the woods to show him how to hunt. When Davy was almost eight years old his dad gave him a gun. He loved to hunt. Once his house was destroyed in a flood and he had to move. One day he joined other men fighting for freedom at the Alamo in San Antonio, Texas. He died there in 1836. Although there are many legends about Davy, his life was really filled with many exciting adventures.
