Haiku Poems

In February we studied about the Olympics, countries of the
world and Japan. We learned about Haiku. A Haiku is a Japanese lyric poem that has three
lines. The first line has five syllables, the second has seven syllables, and the last has
five syllables. The poem doesn't rhyme and usually is about nature or the seasons. A Frog's Life A frog on wet ground Dog on a Bed Dog lays on a bed Kittens are Born The kittens are born, In the Deep Forest In the deep forest, My Puppy In the burning sun The Dog in the Yard The dog is so cute The Frog Frog on a lily pad The Orca Orca jumping high. The Rabbit Summer Summer fun to me The Sun The sun giving heat The Whale In the blue ocean, The Whale The whale squirts water Waiting Fish Crossing the river Wings of a Living Thing The butterflies wings |
