Dear
Mom and Dad,
Hi, how are you. I am having a great time. The weather is beautiful. Cubans are friendly, warm, communicative, and enthusiastic. Cubans are hardworking but they face difficulties with a positive attitude. Cubans like sweet potatoes, rice and beans, plantains, and tomatoes. They also eat omelet in Spanish tortilla. Guess what mom and dad I learned a lot of Spanish. When you come to Cuba I will teach you Spanish. The only language spoken is Spanish. The schools are nice. The children are taught to respect the value of labor. High school students devote half the schools days to work in factories or on farms attached to their schools. College students, city workers, housewives, and military recruits volunteer to work on farms and building sites. Just to tell you mom and dad you need to bring certain kinds of clothing. For warm and humid days you will need to bring a set of short sleeve shirts and a set of shorts. For cold days you will need to bring a set of pants and a set of sweatshirts.
Trying to get a job is a lot difficult to get than in other countries.
People dont choose their own jobs the government chooses it for them.
People who are unable to work are given food, clothing, housing, and medical care. The kind of jobs in Cuba are farming, working in factories, working in offices, and staying outside at night for robberies which they call the night spy.
Havana is one of the oldest cities in the Western Hemisphere, it has a modern section and is the largest city in the west Indies. The fertile lowlands of Cuba produce abundant coffee, sugarcane, tobacco, and citrus fruit. The countries you might like to visit are Cuba are Pinar del Rio, Santa Clara, Camaguey, Holguin, Santiago de Cuba, Guantanamo, Manzanillo, Bayamo, Ciego de Avila, Marianao, Santa Spiritus, and Havana as in the capital of Cuba. The countries that border Cuba are Jamaica, Haiti, Bahamas, and Florida Keys. Cuba is a beautiful country and is a beautiful country to live in. Well I hope I told you enough information about Cuba and I hope you like Cuba.
See you soon,
Love your daughter,
Lori
