Dear Mom and Dad,

First of all I’m having a great time in Brazil. I wouldn’t mind living here. You might want to learn Portuguese because it is their main language.

Dad there food is great and mom I hope you get used to black coffee. Coffee is Brazil’s chief export. They have all sorts of fruits and vegetables and African, Indian, European and Portuguese cooking.

The climate is hot and humid. So bring your summer clothes. Less than 5% of Brazil's land is over three thousand feet. It is also the 5th largest country in the world. It is also has the Amazon River witch is the second longest river in the world. Brazil also has the Amazon Rain Forest.

There are a lot of things to do for fun in Brazil. You can go boating or fishing. You can also go swimming and go to beaches.

Lately I have been all over, and the most interesting place I’ve been to the city of Rio de Janeiro. In Rio de Janeiro you can do many things like go to the zoo or the National Library and the Mariana Stadium. One third of the people live in shantytowns and there are no doctors and no jobs and no schools in the shantytowns. Speaking of schools their literacy is 83% and the United States is 96%.

Well mom well dad I’m going to a soccer game. It’s against the United States. Say hi to Molly and Bonnie.

LOVE,

Neil
