Elegant Wolves
by Kailey

This is story a about four little red wolves and their mischievous behavior.

Their names are Brutis, Rufis, Bernard, and B.J. Their parent's names are Bandit, and Lilly. They are having trouble raising their pups so they try to be clever and trick the pups. This is where the story begins.

Bandit and Lilly try to teach their pups how to hunt and behave the correct way but it's no use "They just don't listen!" The father punishes them and that does not work either. Now the parents are about to go crazy, so they play a little trick on the pups. In the beautiful month of June, the family traveled for three miles, enjoying the beautiful scenery of North Carolina. When the parents told the pups they better listen because they’re going to start their training today, they said "NoWay. We are not going to listen.''

Well, when they saw their father growl, they hid under the gigantic pine tree and were camouflaged with the background with their coats of red, gray, and a tint of yellow. They didn’t even realize they could use camouflage. Bandit was not joking with the pups any more, Bandit said angrily, "You are going to listen whether you like it or not." Bandit and Lilly winked at eachother. Their parents called them and the pups came out quivering nervously. He said "Now lets start our lesson." The pups first lesson of their training was learning how to listen to their parents and why it was important. They had to review that lesson a couple of times. Then he taught them how to hunt, they have to hunt quietly and pounce on their prey which is rabbit, squirrels, and livestock. Bandit explained how dangerous livestock is because of the humans. The pups were starting to realize their skills. By the end of the month, they were catching rabbits and acting as true gentleman. In the total of five months the pups that were mischievous and stubborn were now "ELEGANT WOLVES." The parents were happy and so were the pups. They now have privileges they never had before. That is how they became "ELEGANT WOLVES."It was all a trick Bandit loved and cherished his pups dearly.
