My name is Arthur and I was born in a forest in Cuba. I am a Cuban Crocodile. It was a cold and rainy day when I entered the world. I felt sad and lonely because I could not find my parents.

I looked everywhere. When I looked for my parents on land, I saw a hunter and he shot at me but he missed. I think the hunter wanted me for crocodile skin. I ran back in the water and then I was safe. When I was in the water I bumped into another crocodile. We started to become friends. I told him the only thing I could remember is that my mom held in my mouth when I was about to hatch. He told me that when he was little his parents left him because they wanted him to take care of himself. I didn't understand. I realized that my parents left me too. I learned how to take care of myself. I learned how to find my own food like fish, insects, and mollusks. I learned how to swim with part of my body in the water. Till this day I still look for my parents.
