Tricia and Nicole's Adventure
by Desiree

Nicole and Tricia live in the Anix Mountains in Asia with the entire Panda family. They love being together and they eat together three times a day. They have a meeting to eat and play with each other every two weeks.

There were theses two curious zookeepers who are looking for two pandas to put in the zoo. After a long night for Tricia and Nicole and they woke up in the zoo. The zookeepers fed them bamboo and meat, however this meat isn't the meat they usually eat.

The next day the pandas were gone! All the people who visited were angry because some people were reserved to have a tour to see the pandas. Zookeepers were searching from ten o'clock in the morning until nine o'clock at night. They were miserable because they were losing customers every second of the day!

Nicole and Trisha had clues and ideas on how to get home. However, they still saw the zoo! They ran because they saw the zookeepers trying to find them. They ran about fifteen miles away from the zoo; they did not see the zoo anymore. They were exhausted from running and they stopped at a drinking hole to drink. They also sat down and ate some leaves and stems too. They did not find any bamboo yet! They only ate for about ten minutes because they wanted to get home!

They walked for an hour. Nicole noticed some things near home in the Anix Mountains. They just realized that they were one quarter up the mountain where they used to live in. They finally spotted and ate bamboo and they both love that they found and ate bamboo. They built a den out of sticks, grasses, and some branches to sleep in over night.

Nicole woke up in the morning and also woke up Tricia to continue their journey. After she woke up Tricia, they took a drink at the drinking hole and ate some bamboo. Then they were off! They trudged and trudged on. All of the sudden, Nicole collapsed since she was so tired. They stopped and ate more. They stopped at a drinking hole, again after they ate because there was no water hole where they ate. They felt much better after they drank and ate.

They're back to their journey! They were getting hungry for meat this time. Nicole hunted for a baby fawn. She finally found a baby fawn after looking for a half-hour. She hid and jumped out and tore it up. She made the sound of when you call a meeting to eat or play. Tricia came over to see what happened. She saw that Nicole had captured the baby fawn. Both of them started to tear it apart. It was luscious they finished it in five minutes! That was dinner for the night. They made another den for the night, which was so tiring that they fell asleep after they built it.

The next day they both woke up and they ate breakfast and stopped at the drinking hole. They were very close to their home. They predicted that they were about twenty minutes away. They trudged until they got to there home. Nicole thought she spotted their home and they both started running as fast as they could. However, that was not their home. They stopped crying because they really wanted to get back home to see their family. They started to walk again. Instead of walking they started running, they were so excited to get home soon.

Nicole and Tricia really saw their home but Nicole wasn't feeling well because she was falling down when ever she walked. Tricia went ahead to go get the family. She jumped over rocks and tripped over the long grasses. She finally got to the top of the mountain and got their family. They ran down to get her. They carried her up to the mountain again. Tricia was feeding Nicole some grasses because she was in pain and she could barley move. She is back home in her old den sleeping. They all went to sleep after Nicole went to sleep. They were so worried about Tricia and Nicole and where they were. Their mom and dad thought that the poachers had got their fur and killed since that is why they're endangered.

The next morning Nicole woke up and called her mom and dad. She was in pain really bad. They fed her grass, leaves, and bamboo. All of a sudden they heard the poachers. Then the poachers left because they realized that they would destroy Nicole's family. Nicole was one lucky and happy panda.
