Kara
is a teenage Koala bear, whose parents call her "Native Bear" as a
nickname. Kara is a very pretty koala. She has light brown hair all over, except
for her stomach, which is white.
Kara is on a trip with her family to the East Coast of Australia for a better place to live. Although her mom carried her in her pouch when she was younger, she now walks along with them. When she and her family arrived on the East Coast, they began searching for a place to live. As they were looking around, Kara spotted a nice tall eucalyptus tree for her family. This tree is in a safe area and they could also get their food from the tree, because koala bears only eat the leaves of the eucalyptus trees.
Kara was so excited about meeting new friends. So, one day she went out to play with her new friends Kristy, Laury, and Nicole. While they were playing, she ran too far out into the forest. This is exactly where her father told her never to go to, and of course, she got lost. She looked around, but all that she could see were many eucalyptus trees. Kara did not know where she was or how to get home.
Kara's parents noticed that she was gone, so they got frightened and started calling and calling for her. However, they could not find her. Kara's parents asked some of their friends to help look for her, and they did. They all came over to Kara's parents' house. Her parents asked Kristy, Laury, and Nicole where they were last to get a start on their search. Neither Kara's parents nor any of their friends could find Kara for one whole day, and now they were more frightened.
Kara was really frightened about being lost over night. She missed her parents and friends. She was practically jumping out of her skin, because she was so scared to be all alone. Then she thought about being lost forever and started crying hysterically. Kara became frantic, so she decided to go and start looking for her parents or anyone she knew.
The next day Kara heard a rustle in the forest. Then, she saw sometimes and thought it might possibly be her parents. She started running toward the direction of the noise, and as she got closer she realized it was her parents! Kara was so happy to find her parents. When she saw her mom and dad she jumped on her mother's back and gave her a big hug and kiss. Then they all headed back home and Kara promised that she would never again leave the safety of her parents, or her home in the eucalyptus trees.
