Sea Stars
By Mary

Sea stars live on the rocky sea floor. They are also found on the beach. They crawl along the ocean bottom. They have lots of arms. Sea stars feet are tiny tubes on the underside of their arms. The sea star has its mouth on the bottom of its body. Sea stars are meat eaters. They eat clams, oysters, coral fish and other animals. They do something that is very funny. They push their stomach out through their mouth and that is the way that they eat their food. Most sea stars have five arms. They can stretch out more than 24 inches. They may be yellow, orange, red, blue, purple or brown. If a sea star gets cut an amazing thing can happen. The arm can grow back.
