The Orca Whale
By Alejandra

The orca whale is also called a killer whale. The orca is really a dolphin! It lives in the oceans all over the world, even in Antarctica and the artic. It eats seals, squid, sea lions, dolphins, and whales. It swims and dives. Its only predator is humans. They have a good sense of touch, sight, and hearing. They communicate by making clicking noises. Orcas have powerful jaws and often hunt in packs. They are strong swimmers and can grow to over thirty feet in length. Like all whales, they must come to the surface to breathe. An orca blows air out through the blow hole in the top of its head. The blow hole is like the nostrils of land animals.
