Octopus
By Samantha

Octopuses are very tricky. They can confuse you if you try to catch them they will squirt black ink. They live in the ocean. It eats small crabs, scallops, snails, fish and turtles. It moves by swimming. Their predators are people. It protects itself by piling rocks to block the front of their den. The word octopus means eight feet in Greek. Octopus move by squirting water through a tube called a siphon. They are jet propelled. Octopuses can squirt black ink to confuse animals that are trying to catch them. Octopuses can change their color and shape. If an arm is lost it will re-grow. An octopus is closely related to squid. Octopuses have a beak.
