Danica Patrick

Danica Patrick is a woman race car driver. Her racing goal was to be a winner. She was born March 25, 1982 in Beloit, Wisconsin. She is from an Irish-American family and was raised in Roscoe, Illinois. Danica began go-karting when she was about ten. She moved to England when she was 16 so she could concentrate on her racing. Danica was named Rookie of the Year in 2005 IRL championship. Although she has won several pole positions in qualifying, she has never won a major auto race. Her most memorable achievement is leading the Indianapolis 500 race. Along the way Danica has had to deal with men who don’t think that women belong in racing. Danica has another career in commercials. She is in the Secret deodorant commercial and a Honda Civic commercial about speeding. One of her favorite movies is Napoleon Dynamite. Her favorite actors are Will Ferrell and Nicole Kidman. Danica was married on November 19, 2005 to Paul Edward Hospenthal. They live in Scottsdale, Arizona.
