Queen Noor
Queen Noor was born Lisa Najeeb
Halaby on August 23, 1951. Queen Noor was important because she was the Queen of
Jordan, they say that she is the prettiest woman in the country! Queen Noor
attended school in Los Angeles, Washington D.C, New York City and Concord
Academy in Massachusetts. Then she met King Hussein and they were married on
June 15, 1978. They had two sons, Hamzah and Hashim. Then they had two girls,
Iman and Raiyah. Queen Noor's worked to improve child health care and education
in Jordan. The queen has lived all over the world and speaks Arabic, English and
French. She graduated from Princeton University in New Jersey and she likes to
ski, play tennis, horseback ride and read. Majesty King Hussein passed away on
the 8th of February 1999. His eldest son Prince Abdullah who was his Crown Prince, became King Abdullah II of Jordan. Prince Hamzah
who is Queen Noor's eldest son, became the Crown Prince of Jordan.
