Mrs. Frida Kahlo

Do you know about a Mexican female painter?

Well I do and I would like to tell you about her.

Her name is Frida Kahlo, she was born in 1907 in Coyacan, Mexico near Mexico City. Frida went to school at Mexico City's National Preparatory School in 1925. After three years she took some paintings of hers to a famous Mexican muralist Deigo Rivera who encouraged her to continue as a painter. Frida and Deigo got married in 1929. Most of her ideas came from her own expeirences, one of her famous painting was "The Broken Column". She had many art shows in Mexico, New York and Paris. She died in 1954, I would say she had a successful life.
