Sasha
Cohen was born October 26, 1984 in Westwood, California. Sasha is a famous
figure skater. She now lives in Laguna Niguel, California. Sasha goes to Alisa
Niguel High School and she has a sister Natasha and two cats name Mocha and
Meow. Sasha's mother Galina grew up in Russia. She was a dancer and a gymnast
when she was younger. Her father Roger is a lawyer. Sasha started skating when
she was seven. She also took gymnastics when she was younger. At the 2000 U.S.
Nationals, she won a silver medal. She missed the 2001 U.S. National because of
a back injury. At this year's U.S. Nationals she earned another silver medal and
a place on the 2002 Olympic Team. At opening ceremonies she stood with President
Bush and handed him her cell phone so the President could talk to her mother.
Sasha just missed a medal at the 2002 Winter Olympics.
