7th graders need to practice at home, daily, whatever is worked on in class that day. The techniques taught in perspective need to be practiced without my assistance to see what is understood and where further help is needed.  Many 7th graders come in activity period to do it and leave the journal in the classroom so we an clear up any confusion  in activity period that day.  Time at home or activity period will be about 1 hour weekly with SUNDAY Critiques

Students who are regularly pulled out of class will have requirements adjusted accordingly

Ø      NEVER SAY “I CAN’T”………ALWAYS TRY YOUR BEST……..DON’T MAKE EXCUSES

Homework:

Ø      Projects are done in class-final  work may be worked on at home if more time is needed

Journal entries ideally are done 5 nights weekly – about10 minutes – to keep up with new tasks

ART EXPECTATION SHEET 2007-08 TO SIGN AND RETURN

7th grade only           Please return to Mrs. Moss by______________________________

I have read the Art Quint Expectation Sheets and will expect my child to satisfactorily fulfill his/her requirements

I understand that the Art Journal is a very important part of the Art experience.   Approximately 10 minutes per night will reinforce what was taught during the class – if absent I understand my child may need to come in to catch up on techniques learned in the missed demonstration.

All work done in class must be handed in to successfully pass Art.  Those students who will be pulled out from class on a regular basis will have classroom requirements adjusted accordingly.

I UNDERSTAND THAT ALL WORK IS GRADED ON EFFORT AND COMPLETION OF TASKS.

BOTH STUDENT AND PARENT NEED TO SIGN BELOW. Thank You,    Mrs. Moss

It is my hope that all students and parents will expect to see a pass or pass with honors on the report card.

If your child does not keep up with Journal Entries, that will be reflected in the final projects which are graded according to mastery of new techniques.  That will be indicated on your Final Critique Sheet.  Please check the journals each weekend and urge your child to take that time to catch up and be prepared for the next week’s work...  If your child is consistently unprepared for class, expect a call from me!

Student Name___________________________QUINT______________Grade________

Grading will be the  result from the amount of practice witnessed daily in the journal
