So You Want to Move to Pearl River

More and more families are choosing Pearl River as the community in which to raise their family and educate their children. Enrollment in our schools has climbed over 59% since 1990.

To Register Your Child(ren)
Registration for all district students (outside of annual kindergarten registration) takes place in the Office of the Assistant Superintendent, located in the District Administration Offices on the lower level of Pearl River High School at 275 East Central Avenue. The office is open between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Parents/guardians should register their child(ren) in person. The following documents are required for registration:
- Birth certificate or other official documentation providing proof of birth
- Immunization record
- Proof of residence within the Pearl River School District

Annual kindergarten registration for incoming kindergarteners takes place in January for the following September enrollment. Check the district calendar for dates and place.

The Pearl River School District boundaries include most of Pearl River and portions of Nanuet, Orangeburg, West Nyack, and Tappan. Pearl River does not accept out-of-district students on a tuition basis for any reason other than special education placements through BOCES.
 
It is extremely important that prospective homeowners verify the address of the home they are planning to buy to be in the Pearl River School District. A complete list of properties contained within the Pearl River School District appears below, by street address. 

In order to maintain balanced class sizes across the district, all new elementary students are assigned to one of three schools. While geographic boundaries serve as a general guideline, school placement will depend on grade level enrollment or special education needs.
