Mail from outside sources is routed through the LHRIC, if a virus, or other dangerous mail is detected, it will be quarantined.

The mail then passes through a SPAM filter to eliminate SPAM email.

Each day a quarantine report appears in a user's inbox. This report lists the mail being held.

If a user should receive “real” mail that is listed as SPAM, the user can release the mail. Email from this source will no longer be quarantined by the filter. If a user should receive SPAM email, this can be deleted via the report.
