PROJECT ADVENTURE BEHAVIORAL

OBJECTIVES

The following is a list of Project Adventure's behavioral objectives:

Risk-Taking

To accept physical, social, emotional, and intellectual risk-taking as positive experiences that enhance self-esteem.

Appreciating Individual Differences

To promote caring attitudes for others while at the same time appreciating their strengths, weaknesses, and differences.

Self-Awareness

To learn how to set realistic and relevant personal goals.

Communication

To develop skills for verbalizing and listening with equal expertise.

Trust

To develop a sense of trust in oneself and in others.

Leadership

To be able to accept the changing role of either leader or follower.

Individual/Group Problem Solving

To enable participants to problem-solve effectively, both individually and collectively.

Safety Awareness

To develop a critical eye in becoming aware of physical and emotional dangers.
