Goals:

  1. To find out what books the children of New York State are reading and enjoying.
  2. To recognize authors of these books and in turn promote and encourage the growth of literacy at all levels.

 

Nominating Procedures: (see ballot on the following page)

 

Guidelines:
  1. Children’s Choices is a survey conducted yearly by NYSRA.
  2. Participation is open to all New York children.
  3. Ballot boxes may be established in classrooms or libraries.
  4. Winning authors will receive awards at the NYSRA end of the year meeting.
  5. Those teachers or librarians who participate in the survey will receive notification of the winners.
