Thru February 12:  The Hastings PTSA is collecting: Baby/Toddler/Children’s Books; Adult Fiction & Nonfiction Books; SAT/AP/Regents Exam Review Books (no textbooks please); Cooking/Gardening/Craft Books; Fine Arts Books; Board Games and Jigsaw Puzzles; G-Rated Audio & Video Tapes/DVDs/CDs and E-Rated Video Games. Items can be dropped off at the Main Office of any school.  Also...volunteers are needed for set-up on Tuesday, February 23, between 8:30am and 3:00pm and also during any time and any day of the fair. Thru March 5:  Student and teacher organizations have joined efforts to collect Non-Perishable Food Items to benefit the Food Bank for Westchester. Collection bins for food and monetary donations are available at all three schools, and at supportive local vendors.

 

February 5-6:  Grades 7/8 Musical, "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee", 7pm - HHS Auditorium

This Tony Award-winning musical comedy centers around six quirky adolescents for whom a spelling bee is the one place where they can stand out and fit in at the same time. Overseen by grownups who barely managed to escape childhood themselves, they learn that winning isn’t everything, and that losing doesn’t necessarily make you a loser.
Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for students, and free for senior citizens.
