This is Mrs. McGrath’s 17th year teaching science at Farragut Middle School.   Her first six years were spent teaching sixth grade science.  She then moved to the 7^th grade and is currently teaching 7^th grade science and 8^th grade (HS level) Living Environment.

 

She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and has a Master’s in Education.  Before teaching and raising a family, Mrs. McGrath did immunological research for Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

 

 Personal Philosophy

“I have always loved science both in and out of the classroom.  As a little girl I loved exploring the natural world.  In college there was no doubt that I would focus on the life sciences.  I believe that teaching science is the best way that I can help others understand and enjoy science the way I do!  Science is in everything we do.  We must all understand the workings of our natural world.  SCIENCE IS ALL AROUND US.”
