Description (week of June 3, 2002)
The Particle Adventure - fundamentals of matter and force - the Lawrence Berkely National Laboratory presents an interactive tour of quarks, neutrinos, anti-matter, dark-matter, accelerators and particle detectors. Everything you wanted to know about fundamental particles from which all matter is made, but were afraid to ask.

Classroom Integration

  • Download the Particle Physics Education Materials - these classroom activities present educational resources concerning our understanding of particles and interactions.

  • Have students choose an area of interest from the extensive Table of Contents to study and report.

  • Investigate the Particle Physics Timeline and focus on the scientists and thinkers who helped shape the field of particle physics.
