Description (November 18, 2002)
World Monuments Watch - WMF, a nonprofit organization devoted to onsite conservation of monuments and sites worldwide, plays a leadership role in the rescue and preservation of imperiled works of art and architecture.

Classroom Integration

  • Students choose sites from the list of 100 and research their historical and cultural significance.

  • Class develops the criteria and nominates the top 10 most important endangered sites.

  • Using the links to Endangered Sites 1996-2000, students research and report their current status.
