What EMS Did About The Tragedy of The World Trade Center
By John Rella & Nicholas Nardini

The tragedy hit EMS and we showed our feelings. We brought in canned food for all the families of the people in the World Trade Center. We also had a bake sale and all the profits of this sale went to the Victims Assistance Fund. As we said the Pledge of Allegiance, I know I was not the only one who remembered all the brave people who risked their lives for others. This tragedy will be remembered by all of us in years to come. God Bless America.

Hey, wuzzup! Do you have the Internet? Well if you don’t I truly feel bad for you, and I want to tell you that you shouldn’t be reading this because this whole article is about websites.

Girl Sites (mostly for girls)

  • Dollz Mania - This site is really good; it has many dolls already made, and a lot of great doll makers.

  • Artificial Sweetener - This site has great dolls and especially great links. Also the owner of the page is a very big Gwen Stefani fan, so there are a lot of Gwen Stefani dolls, stuff, and information.

  • Chick Click - This site has great information about everything a girl needs to know and lots of cool information about movie stars and singers.

Hardball

Movie Review

by Frances Kuhn

The movie Hardball is about a gambler named Conner O’Neil who decides to straighten his life out by coaching an inner city baseball team. At the end of the movie he realizes that he enjoys coaching more than running from people who he owes. I recommend this movie because Keanu Reeves shows his humorous side in this very emotional film.

A Series of Unfortunate Events
A Book Written By Lemony Snicket
Reviewed by Nina Quirk-Goldblatt

This book is about three orphan children: Violet, 14, Klaus, 12, and Sunny Baudelaire, 1. They are all extremely intelligent children. Violet is an amazing inventor, Klaus reads all the time, and Sunny has really sharp teeth that some way or another helps them out of trouble.

by John Munzo

They sound perfectly happy, right? Wrong! They have no luck at all and bad things always happen to them. Their parents died in a horrible fire that was set to their mansion. This left the kids an enormous fortune, but they can’t use it until Violet comes of age. So, until that day when they can use their fortune they have to stay under the care of a guardian.

The first person they stay with, Count Olaf, is actually scheming to steal their fortune. They use their brains to escape from him, but they can never bring him to justice for all the murders and crimes he’s committed along the way. Will they ever catch Count Olaf and put him in jail, and will they ever live with someone who doesn’t die, abandon them, or try to steal their fortune? Read more of the 13 book series to find out!

The Bouncer

Software Review

by Danny Carlisto

The Bouncer is an awesome game. The game is phenomenal and worth every penny. I’d give it a 10 out of a 10. It is a cool game. Buy it, play it, and master the game. The story begins with three guys who work at a bar. Their names are Sion, Volt, and Kou. Then a girl named Dominique, a friend of the three, walks into the bar. While they talk, five guys break in. You choose your guy and fight the five guys. When you beat them Dominique gets captured and you have to rescue her. That’s all I’ll tell you. You’ll have to play the game to figure out what happens next. Good luck!

The Record Breaker
By Michael Raffo

On September 20,2001 Barry Bonds of the San Francisco Giants hit his 70th homerun. He tied Mark McGuire’s s record of 70 homeruns set back in 1998. The fans gave Bonds a standing ovation and two curtain calls. The fans at Enron Field in Houston Texas were standing for four minutes!

by John Munzo

The person who caught Bonds’ homerun ball was someone from Houston. All the fans were chanting, “throw it back,” but he did not because it will be worth a lot of money. Not only has Barry Bonds hit many homeruns this season; he also broke the record for walks, which was held by Babe Ruth who had 170 walks. On Friday September 29, 2001 Barry Bonds hit his 71st homerun on his first at bat vs. Chan Ho Park; and on his first at bat in the third he hit his 72nd homerun-- also against Chan Ho Park. They both came on the first swing and the ball traveled 442 feet to right center field. Barry Bonds is endlessly making history!

Blue Man Group

Theatre Review

by Dana Molloy

Blue Man Group, as you may know, are the three men dressed in black with blue heads and hands. You may know them from the Pentium 3 and 4 processor commercials. At the beginning they come out and play these really big and loud drums. They sounded really loud because the theater was really small. In the middle of the show they were in the middle of an act when all of a sudden this siren started to go off. The screen said LATE ARRIVALS!!! And sure enough here come these two people walking down the aisle late. At the end in the lobby they greet you and you get to take pictures with them. I would highly recommended it to anyone who wants a good laugh.

Rage Against Humanity
(Inspired by the World Trade Center Tragedy)

Judgment approaches us,
Only when single souls take into their hands-
The fate of humanity
Now, our fantasy of true peace,
Has been rudely shattered -
The dark cloak of ecstasy has been raised from our blindness
Exposing the vulnerability of our hearts
The dark plumes of smoke bruise the bloodied sky.
Fingers of silent hate enclose us in
A suffocating blanket of pure misery
Wails plague our world.
The balance has been violently altered
And our stained spirits have succumbed to the vile reality -
Humanity has been violated.
Now, its fate lies in our hands.
