Parents

The most important thing you can do to maintain a good relationship with your parents is to be honest with them. If you’re not honest with them then they’ll lose their trust in you.

Listen to what your parents tell you to do. You shouldn’t talk back or disobey them. Treat them with respect and they will treat you the same way you treat them.

It’s very important to have a good relationship with your parents because they give you guidance and help.

Make them proud of you, show them that they should trust you.

 Brothers and Sisters

They annoy you by taking your belongings without asking. Brothers and sisters.

They hit and bother you when you are on the phone, and sometimes they use your clothes. Brothers and sisters break a lot of your stuff and do other things to make you mad.

The most positive way to react when brothers or sisters are irritating you is to let them know they are bothering you and ask them to stop.

You should be nice but firm so they get the point that you are upset about something they did.

Don’t yell at them and create a bigger problem, but sit down and talk to them in a calm way.

And you can always talk with your parents about what is going on.

 Conversations

When you are speaking with someone, there are things you can do to show you are listening and are interested. Other indications mean you are not paying attention to the conversation.

Directions: Pass your cursor over each statement to learn which show you are really interested in your conversation.

“One of my friends has taken care of my pet bird when I was on vacation. My bird was in excellent condition when I returned.  My friend fed him correctly and played with my bird.  He had taken good care of the bird and showed that he was responsible.”

You want to be listened to, so use these hints to let others know you care when they speak.

 Bullying

When you get bullied you feel nothing and that the other kids look at you and constantly make fun of you. Bullies make you feel low and they lower your self-esteem. You feel angry and hurt when you’re being bullied.

If you feel threatened by another person, you should consult an older person such as a parent, teacher, or guidance counselor.

You should also talk to you friends about it and let them know how you feel so maybe they could help. If you approach the person you feel threatened by with a group of your friends you might feel safer talking about your feelings with the person rather than talking about it when you are alone.

When you see someone being bullied, you could go up to the person doing the bullying and say something to him or tell him to stop. You should tell a teacher, guardian, or an older person who is around.
