TOPIC SELECTION : SAMPLING HEALTH AND NUTRITION

Remember: Choose your topic carefully. Make sure it will keep you interested and curious! Make sure it is an important teen health issue that warrants your attention. There are several ways to choose a topic.

INTRODUCTION

This activity is called a Subject Sampler. The idea of a sampler is that people who are given the choice will choose things they like or are curious about trying. Boxes of chocolates, compilation CD's and buffets all work on this principle.

This Sampler is designed to get you to think about Which health topics are important to you? Which health topics are important to all teens? Print the Organizer and record choices and answers to prompts there!

There are two ways to proceed (when you complete one, go on to the next),
start with:

or:

  • Link to the Websites below related to teen health, nutrition and fitness. After each link there are three prompts designed to get you to think and learn more about topics.

So, get stated. Visit the list and the websites. Record the answers to the prompts on the organizer. Don't fake it, look for what really interests you! Remember...TEEN HEALTH ISSUES ARE THE ONES YOU ARE LOOKING FOR!!!
