| This
is the philosophy of the Eastchester School District. All students
are engaged in an enrichment program that is aligned with the curriculum.
Classroom and Enrichment teachers collaborate to create an exciting
and challenging program. The focus is to promote divergent and critical
thinking, problem solving, exploration, and discovery. The students
are also engaged in socratic seminars, discussions, and debates to
promote dialogue and active listening skills. Grades two through five
are also engaged in various research projects using the internet and
reference materials for various projects throughout the year. Programs
and activities are for the most part differentiated to meet the needs
of grade levels and individual students. |
