The Greenvale PTA works closely with the professional staff on a variety of activities. The PTA sponsors a Publishing Center, which continues to publish students' work annually with the help of dedicated parent volunteers. The PTA also publishes an annual student directory. Monthly meetings are held to discuss relevant educational and safety issues, with guest speakers invited on a regular basis.

The PTA organizes with our school librarian an annual READ ALOUD. A noted children's author is contacted to come to the school and share his/her experiences as a writer. Such authors have included Bernard Most, Ronnie Schotter, Bernard Waber, Steven Kellogg. Members of the community are invited to participate as guest readers in the classrooms.

The Compact Building Team consists of parents, teachers and the principal. They discuss building issues and make plans for improvement.
