Memorial Day – School Closed

Greenvale After School Clubs – 2008 Spring Session
Process and Guidelines

Teachers have been provided with a list of students in their classes who participate in Clubs. At regular school dismissal (2:27 pm), Club students will assemble in the Cafeteria with a monitor. The monitor will take attendance and remain with students until the Club instructor arrives. All classes will begin by 2:45 pm. If your child is in school but WILL NOT be attending his/her Club on a particular day, you must send a note to the teacher giving permission to send your child home.

Pick-up Instructions
At the end of the session, Club instructors will escort students to the Cafeteria where they will remain with a monitor until pick-up. Enter the school through the Cafeteria to pick-up children not the Front Entrance. Parking is available in the rear parking lot. As always, there is NO parking in the circular driveway as this is a Fire Zone. Ensure children are promptly picked up at 3:45 pm. The PTA provides a monitor from 2:30 pm until 3:45 pm. We appreciate your cooperation in following our exit procedures. We are not responsible for students who are not picked up by 3:45 pm without notification. If a child is picked up late, the parent/guardian will be required to sign a late pick-up form. On the third occurrence, the child will no longer be allowed to participate in the Club and the fee will be forfeited. No exceptions.

Emergencies
In an emergency when Clubs are in session, please contact the school office at:
914-793-6130, extension 5302.
Alternate contacts: Silvia Galgano: 589-1247 / Gerri Patricello: 582-2288

Closings and Early Dismissals
After School Clubs will be cancelled when the school is closed or is on early dismissal (scheduled or due to inclement weather or other emergency).

In addition, the Eastchester School District may decide to cancel after school activities due to inclement weather even if schools remain in session until normal dismissal. In this instance, children will be dismissed in their normal fashion at the close of the regular school day. We will call parents of children scheduled to attend Clubs that day. Please check your messages on days you think Clubs may be cancelled. If you receive a message, contact one of us so that we are assured that you have received notification. You may also view Channel 78 or the district website at http://www.Eastchester.k12.ny.us and click on the links for K12 Alerts, for the latest postings relative to closing, early dismissals, delays and cancellations.

Make-up sessions will be arranged as appropriate.
