Welcome to the Anne Hutchinson PTA Page

The Anne Hutchinson PTA is a dynamic group of volunteers and staff who work together to enrich the experience of the students who attend The Anne Hutchinson School. The PTA sponsors and participates in many exciting programs and events, including but not limited to outstanding Cultural Arts Programs.   

We are currently working on our fundraising events the Mardi Gras Bunch to be held on Sunday March 9th for the Boys and The Masquerade Ball for the Girls on Friday March 14th. More details will posted shortly.    

The PTA Cultural Arts Programs are designed to enhance the learning experiences of our students. The PTA, in collaboration with the principal and teachers, discuss and select programs that are appropriate for the different grade levels as they connect with the courses of study throughout the year. Some of the programs in the past few years and currently include: Artist Residency, Theatreworks, Poet Residency, Mad Science, Colonial Kitchen, Madden Program, Jacob Burns Film Institute, Dino Dig, Dirtmeister, Bugs and Square Dancing. Each year, we invite a noted children's author to visit our school and share his or her experiences as a writer. Such authors have recently included David Adler, Steven Kellogg and Ted Scheu visited the school this October.

In the after school club program sponsored by the PTA, all students are offered the opportunity to participate in clubs such as Chess, Mad Science, Various Arts & Crafts, Cartooning, Tennis, Soccer, Magic Tricks, sports and others.

Did you take a horse and buggy ride, have your face painted or plant a tree at the annual Harvest Festival? That too is a PTA event. The PTA also runs an in-house Publishing Center, where each student has the opportunity to have at least one work published throughout the year, bound in a beautiful, hand made cover. The PTA also publishes a student directory and holds monthly meetings to discuss relevant educational and safety issues. Interesting guest speakers are invited on a regular basis. Other PTA Committees include Class Parents, Beautification, Historians, Hospitality, Health & Safety, School Photos, Holiday Boutique, Sportswear, Field Day, Hutch Happenings and the Japanese Activities Committee.
