Our School

The Waverly School is a district-wide full day kindergarten and first grade school. The developmentally appropriate program is exploratory and "hands-on" in nature, and is designed to promote each child’s social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth. Curiosity and the joy of learning are emphasized to develop life long learners. We teach basic skills, strategies, concepts, and critical thinking skills meeting the learning needs of all children as they strive to meet or exceed the New York State Learning Standards and Assessments.

Home-School Partnership

The faculty and staff at Waverly work closely with the Waverly PTA to promote and support the educational programs of the school. The PTA holds monthly meetings and is instrumental in providing programs for students that enrich the curriculum.
