Our School

Anne Hutchinson is committed to achieving educational excellence for all students, and continually seek ways to improve students performance. We provide a nurturing environment for over 460 youngsters in grades 2-5 who represent the future of our community and the world at large. All of our efforts are dedicated to ensuring the development and success of every student in our charge. The New York State Standards have been implemented in all curriculum areas, and our experienced, expert teaching staff supports all students in achieving academic excellence and performance growth.

Home-School Partnership

The Anne Hutchinson family – students, parents, teachers and other staff members – works closely together to implement activities designed to enhance a sense of school spirit. These partnerships play a vital role in supporting our educational program. The PTA holds monthly meetings and hosts guest speakers who address parents and staff about current educational and social issues affecting children. Some meetings are jointly sponsored with the Greenvale and Waverly PTAs. Each year the PTA donates funds to the school which have been used to purchase a projection TV and sound system for the auditorium and to help support a bullying prevention program.

The Compact Building Team is comprised of parents, staff, and the principal. This team continually addresses building- level issues.
