Have you finished reading a book and want to discuss the topic with other students around the globe?   Teachers or librarians nominate books for discussions and become a "Book Rap Coordinator."  Individuals or groups of students from around the world sign up to be a part of your "rap."  Enjoy getting varied perspectives of literature from those outside your school's walls.

Research-It! http://www.itools.com/research-it This tool has it all! Bookmark this as the resource for writers. You will find dictionaries, thesauruses, anagrams, rhyming word help, language translators and much more.
Sentence Sense Online http://ccc.commnet.edu/sensen/index.html Students are exposed to over 200 computer-graded or self-grading exercises to encourage students to apply ideas, test their mastery and have fun with language along the way.
Guide to Grammar & Writing http://ccc.commnet.edu/grammar/ Students learn about all of the rules of grammar and then have the opportunity to practice what they have learned on the web.
Dictionary.com http://www.dictionary.com Find a definition to any word in the English language.  Participants might also want to sign up for the word of the day.  This is great for those taking the SAT's.
