• With partner, complete Venn Diagram noting similarities and differences 
• Sharing: Group Discussion
• Guide students through planning comparative essay using paragraph boxes
• Discussion of appropriate transitional words
• After completion of paragraph boxes, students draft individual essays
• Homework: Analyze Walt Whitman quote

Writing a four paragraph comparative essay using information from both passages.
