The Bison and the Plains Indians curriculum tells the story of the American bison and how it relates to the history of the American West.The lessons are multidisciplinary in scope and the subject areas included are art, science, mathematics, social studies and language arts. To access all activities and lessons, you can download the curriculum. In the major art lesson, Art and the Preservation of the Bison, the student will learn about the preservation of the bison and the role of artists in raising awareness for the preservation of the bison.
