In response to the feedback we received from our Parent Survey, our Kindergarten Visitation is back on the calendar for Wednesday, May 30th from Text Box: 3:00-3:40. We look forward to welcoming our incoming Kindergarten students and their parents at that time.
We also look forward this month to enjoying the outdoors at recess and during our physical education classes. There is plenty of information in the newsletter this month about additional exciting events at Concord Road School and our community at large.
    See you at school,

Text Box: Kindness Garden:
As the spring weather finally arrives, teachers and students are beginning to enjoy our outdoor classroom that is part of the Kindness Garden. It is wonderful to see the children actually having an opportunity to use this space. In addition, a few of our local Daisy and Brownie troops have volunteered their time to plant their “seeds of kindness” in the garden. The Daisies planted beautiful pansies in pots and Brownie Text Box: troop 2987 will be coming to Concord Road to do some planting in the month of May.
Thank you to all of the teachers and parents who are helping our children to understand how important it is to be kind one another.
In the classroom:
Mrs. Krebs has just finished teaching her unit on Effective Problem Solving to our third graders. The children have been learning about the steps that are involved in making good Text Box: choices.
In second grade, Friendship is the focus of our guidance curriculum. We are learning about the traits of a good friend as well as discussing the tools that we need to maintain our friendships.
Please ask your child to talk about what they have learned and encourage them to use the skills that they now have to solve problems with friends and to make good decisions!
