Linda Finch was born in 1951 and grew up in San Antonio, Texas. Linda dreamed about flying when she was a teenager. She is famous for retracing Amelia Earhart’s 1937 around-the-world flight. She started her flight on March 17, 1997 and ended her flight on May 28, 1997. She flew in a restored Lockheed Model 10E Electra airplane. She flew 26,004 nautical miles around the world at a height of 6,000 to 8,000 miles. Linda Finch successfully completed Amelia Earhart's unfinished journey.
