Weightlifting

Weightlifting was included in the first modern Olympic games in 1896. Women were allowed to participate for the first time in 2000. Weightlifting has two simple but very hard movements, the snatch and the clean jerk. The athletes get three tries to find the weight. They are separated into categories according to their weight. They have to weigh in before the event.
Weightlifters use chalk on their hands to get a better grip on the bar. The wear outfits that fit their bodies closely.
At the Olympics there will be events for men and women wrestlers.
